G4 Re-Certifies IGT for Responsible Gaming

The global gambling and guidance group (G4)has re-certified IGT Gaming and PlayDigital services for responsible gaming. The group has earlier issued responsible gambling certification to IGT land-based casino operation in 2017.

IGT online operations also received a similar accreditation by G4 in 2019. By then, it was the first software and casino game content producer to receive G$ certification for both online and land-based operations. The recent re-certification also makes IGT the first company to be recertified by G4. The re-accreditation issued to IGT is for the two operational sections.

Speaking on the development, the companies senior Vice President on Global Brand, Marketing, and Communications, Wendy Montgomery, claimed the company has always prioritized responsible gambling. He described the independent accreditation of their services as proof of the effectiveness of their products. He also said that the certification shows that his company is a responsible supplier that is innovative and always delivering research-based solutions.

IGT Statement

Speaking for G4, Pieter Remmers, the chairman of the board of directors, said his board is delighted to issue the certification. He believed it is a pride to have a company like IGT as an accredited member.

According to him, IGT has fully demonstrated that it makes responsible gambling a priority. He believed the company had clearly shown that in its operation of the two segments. Mr. Remmers stated that responsible gambling has continued to be an important issue in many countries’ laws and regulations.

Before G4 can accredit a member, the member must demonstrate that it goes beyond the normal standard in giving information on responsible gambling to players and providing them with tools to protect them against gambling addiction and excesses. It must also be fully committed to research training and development of policies that will enhance responsible gambling.
