With an already successful track record, the Switch Studios team developed two new live table games for Microgaming – European Blackjack and American Roulette. The team had already a success that they had to live up to, but they also tackled two casino favorites, which is a tall order – because you can’t reinvent the wheel and you want to approach the games with a level of respect. The team managed to pull things off, however, and the two new games are part of the software supplier’s suite of superior table games.
European Blackjack sports a sleek design, with the interface of the game being simple and elegant, and the action being highlighted by great visual quality. The game engine behind European Blackjack is brand new, and it includes not only great visuals, but also realistic sound design, fluid gameplay, and great animations, which add up to create an immersive online casino experience.
Gamblers are able to split, double, and take insurance (all staples of the game), and they are also able to customize the way they play the game by turning on turbo mode or switching things up by selecting the left-handed layout.
Meanwhile, in the opposite corner, American Roulette gets added to the list of games, acting as a counterpart to Microgaming’s already popular European Roulette. The game features artwork that is American-themed, and also a 3D roulette wheel, with realistic ball movements – which helps increase the atmosphere that a real casino would have.
The game sports a statistics panel that makes things easy for the player, pointing out the spin result history and betting information. Gamblers are able to save their favorite bet options, or they can use pre-selected bets. There is also a racetrack feature which offers an alternative bet board display, this being an option for players with more experience who are looking to take things to the next level.
About The Two New Games
With the attention to details, both in terms of visuals and sound design but also in the gameplay department, the games were made with the utmost care in order to not only offer players a great gaming experience but to also allow them to immerse themselves in the casino experience. In addition, the games have also been designed to work on any device, increasing their level of playability. They have been specifically optimized to work on mobile, with players being able to play them in landscape or in portrait, according to their preference.
Switch Studio’s Head of Studio, Tom David stated that the studio is pleased to release two games under their brand exclusively for Microgaming. He also noted that both American Roulette as well European Blackjack show the studio’s ambitious nature to refresh the market of table games, by adding to the mix modern and exciting gaming experiences that are mobile-friendly.
On the other side of the fence, Microgaming’s Head of Games, Jagoda Barber praised Switch Studios for their fresh look at the traditional table games, stating that the studio is reigniting them for a new era of players. Barber pointed to the immersive gameplay and customizable features alongside stunning visuals as being factors that will allow both new and experienced players to enjoy American Roulette and European Blackjack at home but also on the go.
